DAY TWO! We pretty much sightsaw our brains out today. We decided to take the big red bus tour which was so great because its open on the top and so we didn’t feel all cooped up inside. We started the tour in total Danielle and Val fashion by putting the head phones on and hearing French but thinking it would say it in English too at some point. So after listening to it in French for about 15 minutes we thought it was weird that we hadn’t heard English and looked down and realized we had to press a certain button for English, we pretty much laughed our heads off!!! The tour took us all over the city and we got to see all the sights I wanted to see including Buckingham palace, Trafalgar Square, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Marble Arch, The parliament buildings, Big Ben, the London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and quite a few others. It was such a nice way to see the city and we were able to get a good overview and then when we were done with the bus we went back to the places we wanted to see better. We stopped at Buckingham palace but I was SOO disappointed because I really wanted to take a picture with the guards and they were not accessible, DANG IT!!! We also walked through Trafalgar square where the National Gallery and the Portrait Gallery are and that place was crazy busy with all kinds of different people hanging out by the fountain and enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather we had. From there we walked to Covent Gardens which is not really a garden at all but more an open air market with stores as well as vendors like at a farmers market. We found a super cute cupcake store and of course I had to go in and sample their fare to see if it was as good as my own!! They were delicious and the place was so quaint! After Covent gardens we made our way down to the river and got on our river cruise. That was another really cool way to see the city. It took us from Westminster all the way down the Thames River to Greenwich. The weather was spectacular and we really enjoyed being on the water, however our hair did not fare so well and we looked like we had been in a tornado by the end!! No pictures allowed after the river cruise that’s for sure! It was cool to see Greenwich and where the prime meridian which is Greenwich Mean Time. This was a great last day in London and I really feel like I got to see all the cool places that I wanted to see here!!! Off to Bath and Stonehenge tomorrow which means that we are renting our car, let the shit show of mom driving on the wrong side of the road begin!!!!! PRAY FOR ME!!! This should be absolutely hilarious and I cant wait to give an update tomorrow about how she did! I am her co-pilot so I have some responsibility too but if its anything like our brains have been the last two days we are in for an interesting ride!! Cheers!!
